Here is how to fight them:

1. Sign our petition.
2. Click on the confirmation e-mail to verify your signature
3. Use the 'Tell A Friend' button to tell your friends so they can sign the petition too
4. Turn the volume off on any commercial that is too loud (you are probably doing that already)
5. Don't shop at, buy, or use any products or services advertised in commercials that are too loud.

The Petition
We the viewers of Television Broadcasts, whether by over the air, cable, satellite, TIVO or other recordings including
commercials found on DVD's, do hereby state that we are tired of commercials that blast out at us at an unreasonable volume.
Therefore, we are boycotting any and all products, services and companies whose commercials are broadcast at a ridiculously
loud volume. We mute the volume on your commercials because they are so loud anyway, so if you want our business you should
turn the volume down to the point we won't turn it off.
We also believe that the method of measuring the peak volume of sound verses the subjective loudness is flawed.
(A momentary loud sound in a TV show is far different than a full commercial where the sound is at that same peak level for
the entire commercial. Details can be found at the
Advertising Standards Authority)
This petition will be sent to all television broadcasters licensed in the United States. Further, a copy will be sent to the
major advertising agencies we can identify, and to the major sponsors of these loud commercials.
